What
is YFO
• We partner with orphanages and institutions that care for orphans
all over the world.
• We lead and organize short-term (1-12 week) mission projects,
designed primarily for students 13 years old and up.
• We partner with orphanages to spread the Gospel to these children
through Vaction Bible School, youth camps, Bible studies, and other
spiritual formation courses.
• We partner with local churches to provide an opportunity for
the youth of today to learn how to live out their faith on the mission
field.
• We provide encouragement and much needed assistance to the people
already caring for orphans.
• We partner with local churches to ignite a generation to live
passionate uncompromised lives for Jesus.
Why Partner With Us?
• It gives
you the opportunity to eternally make a difference in the lives of lost
and abandoned children.
• It’s an investment in the youth of today that changes
not only an orphan’s life, but the lives of those that partake
on this incredible journey, which impacts our churches, schools, culture
and world.
• Most importantly because it pleases God. God calls us to take
care of orphans in James 1:27.
• Your donation spiritually feeds and cloths an orphan not just
for today, but for an eternity.

This is our story:
YFO was born out of the desire to give my youth group and students a
hands on, practical understanding of "Pure Religion" as described
in James 1:27: "Pure religion is to take care of widows and orphans
and to keep oneself undefiled from the world." As a youth pastor,
you look for opportunities to see your students grow in and experience
God through the promises of His word.
We already participated in several missions’ trips to Latvia,
Egypt, Indonesia, Spain, Israel, and numerous trips to Mexico sharing
the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.
One day in my personal study I was reading a book by John Piper, entitled
"Don't Waste Your Life" (a must read! for any Christian).
Several things struck me while I read this book, but Isaiah 43:7 seemed
to leap from the page, "All that I have been called by My name
I have created for My own glory." It instantly reminded me of the
time that Moses cried out to God "show me Your glory!" (Each
one of my students and each one of us are fearfully and wonderfully
made in the image of God.) I didn't want a "cookie cutter"
mission’s trip that year. Personally, I wanted myself and my students
to see God's glory! I wanted us to experience what the Bible says is
"Pure Religion". The Bible says that each of us are fearfully
and wonderfully made and created for His glory! I knew that each one
of the students signing up for this trip had a unique way of displaying
God's glory.
In the beginning (2002) 35 students, interns & myself had an incredible
time of ministry with the children of Orphanage Emanuel in Guaimaca,
Honduras. Such an incredible time, that many of us decided that we had
to come back to spend Christmas with our new friends.
Nine trips later our hearts are still touched by what God has done and
is doing in the lives of these children. Our team now consists of members
of that original group, joined by others who want to see God move in
a powerful way in the hearts of children who have been abandoned and
left behind by society, but not by God.
For His Glory,
Isaiah 43:7
